So, who are we?
Scott is a highly experienced licensed builder and building and pest inspector with nearly 30 years in the building industry. In that time, he has built many houses around Australia, and conducted thousands of inspections around Australia. In his previous role Scott worked as the National Manager of Inspectors for the largest building and pest company in Australia. Employing and training inspectors Australia wide.
He is a down to earth and an honest person who values integrity. He is all about providing a quality and informed service to each and every client. His attention to detail is second to none, and is meticulous in his approach to inspecting each and every property. Scott can walk into a room and identify any number of details that would not be obvious to others, including other inspectors. He is often called to reinspect homes, identifying a myriad of issues, obvious or not, that other inspectors have failed to identify. Scott’s experience as a national manager for one of the largest companies in Australia training inspectors means you really are getting the best when it comes to experience and knowledge.
When not in business mode, Scott is a family man with a hands-on approach to raising his kids. He enjoys attending their local sport and Surf Life Saving endeavours of his own such as patrolling, training and competing. We are so happy to continue to call the Sunshine Coast home, having recently built our forever home in Maroochydore. We hope to help you do the same to enjoy this amazing lifestyle!
What do our reports entail?
Our reports include information and photographs clearly detailing major and minor defects. These include structural concerns, degradation, leaks, water ingress, high moisture readings, movement cracking. We also report on conducive conditions including active termites or damage caused, and identify if there are existing termite barriers. Scott will conduct an inspection of the roof space, sub floor, roof exterior, guttering, external fixings, cabinetry, walls, ceilings and flooring throughout the home. All accessible areas of the home are inspected both internally and externally. Clients on occasion attend inspections, providing the opportunity to show our clients first hand any defects that have been identified. We provide a thorough follow up phone call on completion of the inspection if you are unable to attend. Scott is only too happy to answer all of your questions to best inform your decision on moving forward with the property.
What equipment do we use?
Scott uses the latest iPad Pro to complete his reports and take photos whilst conducting the inspection. He also uses a Termatrac T3i All Sensor which is the most accurate and non-Invasive detector available. The Termatrac T3i uses Radar technology, a Dual mode Moisture Sensor and a Thermal Sensor to identify termites, detect moisture differentials, and changes in surface temperature or anomalies within the property. As well as the Termatrac Scott can also use the Tramex Moisture Encounter Plus to gauge and evaluate moisture measurements. All equipment is non invasive and provides a high level of accuracy in identifying major or minor defects. It also assists in the identification of areas of concern that may require further investigation by the appropriate trades.
